Your Mom Rocks!

Your mom is ?83?! I thought she was in her mid-seventies.

She was a wonderful conversationalist -- I'm not sure which story was the most interesting; when she was a female truck driver in an era when women weren't supposed to drive trucks, when she followed ranchers in a jeep as the "chuck-wagon cook", or when she discouraged someone who was going to "liberate" her horse trailer by loading her rifle.

My only disappointment with her visit was that I didn't get the "Mom! Don't shoot! It's me!" story from her perspective.

Yeah, she's pretty amazing. She also was a foreman in a machine shop during the war, rode a harley before she drove a car, broke horses, remodeled every house she ever lived with little to no help and six or seven years ago, helped me sheet rock my addition. I have a lot to live up to. Here's hoping I can. Thanks again for hosting us at a great tea!
